A lecture by Gerhard Lentink | 4 August 2018

“In my sculptures there is almost always a strive for reconciliation between extremes, a reconciliation of the organic forms of the human anatomy, with the rectilinearity of the mathematical construction. And in a more abstract sense: between feeling and intellect, between heart and head. Meanwhile I try to give my work a mythical spirit, to speak a universal, metaphorical language, which is not related to a certain place and time.”
