“Everybody wants beauty and everybody has beauty. The common thread to all my works stems from an innate compulsion to force my audience to the wonder, depth, and mystery of the African heart. ‘Force’ because we live in a world that is yet to fully embrace the notion that different is not inferior. That one story is not every story. The African is ‘not yet uhuru but is also breaking glass ceilings. We are fearless and dreaming still.
From the happy faces of African babies to the grace of the elder, the beauty and majesty of our women and mothers, and the regality of the African man. This is my passion. To tell these stories. This is the story that needs to be told.”
