Jean-Philippe Sylvestre an acclaimed Canadian classical pianist from Sainte-Julie, Québec, recognized as a "poet of the piano" by famed conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin will be gracing our shores soon. Known for his brilliant technique and deep musical sensitivity, he has established himself as one of Canada's leading pianists and has performed on prestigious international stages, including the Berlin Philharmonie, Musikverein in Vienna, Salle Gaveau in Paris, and Amsterdam's Concertgebouw.

• Virginia Parker Prize (2008): The highest honor awarded by the Canada Council for the Arts.
