Connecting cultures, consolidating community. Come and explore Africa's global diaspora through our new series of recorded-shows: *Sounds of the World*. Held in collaboration between *BardsLME* and partners in Cape Town, *WE ARE ONE* and *Sidewaysstories* in the UK, and other partner collectives across the African continent, SOTW will host in different locations across the globe, starting in London and Cape Town. Co-ordinated lineups will be captured and uploaded under the same name, highlighting similarities between both communities, and connecting together the cultures of the African motherland, and the African diaspora.
Come and witness the blending of traditional and modern South African soundscapes. _Eu4ria_ and _Legacy_ - two student bands - bring you the finest example of contemporary SA jazz and soul, led by the amazing _Talicia_, _Sizwe Bard_, and the player of Uhadi, _Asiphe_. We'll round off the whole night with 67 minutes of reflection by the _Umuthiomkhulu Ensemble_... that is, reflection through rhythm and melody.
We will be running a donation drive for the *Siyaphambili Orphan Village* in Langa. For over two decades the founder Siphokazi has been fighting for the lives and futures of impoverished children ekasi, and audience members are encouraged to bring spare blankets, clothes, materials, furniture, and any other spare domestic supplies that can be given back to the community.
Come and celebrate South African arts and culture, and take your seat around the blazing inferno of the global African diaspora.
